Welcome to the Selene Florida website! We're Bob and Cheryl Klein, Selene representatives located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We're also the owners of a Selene 53 and we've been living our dream since we purchased our trawler in 2004.

Early in 2003, we visited the Miami Boat Show to escape the Colorado winter for a few days: That's where we saw our first Selene. We previously had the opportunity to sail and live aboard our 43 foot sailboat in Florida and California, but as much as we enjoyed sailing, we were ready for the comfort of a trawler. Bob had spent several years doing research, and we were both convinced the trawler concept provided the comfort, safety, and economy we wanted. Cheryl immediately fell in love with the layout, the beauty of the interior, and the fine joinery work. Bob inspected the engine room, hull, and systems aboard the Selene and was very impressed.  Up on the flybridge, looking over the clear, warm waters of the Miami Bay, Cheryl remembers saying: “Let’s buy the 53, sell the house, and live on this boat”

At that point living on a Selene trawler was only a dream, but we made our dream a reality. Since taking delivery of our Selene 53 in December 2004, we have cruised the waters of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska -- enjoying challenges and adventures, seeing new places, and making new friends. Now, we've returned to Florida to represent this great line of trawlers and help you make your dream of owning a Selene a reality.
